The MBO Raad is the Association of Colleges in the Netherlands, that represents all government funded educational institutions for secondary vocational education and adult education

On behalf of its 68 member institutions the MBO Raad promotes the collective interests of the sector, supports common activities of the institutions and acts as an employer’ organisation.

In addition to this the MBO Raad acts as an intermediary between the VET-colleges and the government, professional branch organisations, industries and other stakeholders providing the colleges with guidance and advice of their specialised consultants.

The MBO Raad promotes innovation in education in several ways, by encouraging good practice, organising conferences and developing support and information material. As representing organisation on behalf of all colleges, the MBO Raad is at the heart of the sector having a perfect position to disseminate innovations, also in the field of International policies.

Alfa-college is a denominational Regional Education Centre (ROC) for vocational training and adult education. The ROC provides a coherent range of courses enabling young people and adults to gain qualifications for further education and the labour market. Alfa- college has over 11,500 students in the age range of 16 - 60 and 1,000 members of staff at various divisions in the northeastern part of the Netherlands with Groningen as its centre. Alfa-college caters for a wide range of intermediate vocational training and tailor-made adult education from which (young) people can choose, fitting in with their ambition and talent with which they can obtain a strong position on the labour market due to the fact that apart from social behaviour attention is paid to functioning in an organisation.
Furthermore Alfa-college provides tailor-made courses for business and industry.

SLO is the Netherlands institute for curriculum development. We are bridging the contexts of policy, research, and practice.

Our expertise focuses on the development of curricular goals and content for various educational levels, from national policy to classroom practices. We closely collaborate with many different stakeholders from policy circles, school (boards, principals, teachers), research, civic organizations, and the society at large. ETBI represents at national level Ireland’s Education and Training Boards, independent statutory educational bodies delivering secondary education and VET across Ireland. In existence since 1902, ETBI works to protect, promote and enhance VET within the wider education sector in Ireland and Europe. ETBI promotes the development and implementation of education and training policy, consults on education legislation, delivers education and training programmes targeted at the general membership within the vocational sector, negotiates with government, sectoral trade unions and other relevant bodies, and promotes its objectives through meetings, affiliations, policy position papers, submissions and media articles.

Tknika is an Innovation Centre for vocational training established by the Basque Government.
It was created to promote innovation in Vocational Education Training and Lifelong Learning in the Basque Country. Based on a strategy of collaboration in Network at two levels:

  1. At the Basque Country, Tknika coordinates the VET- colleges in innovation projects and also maintains a strategical monitoring service in contact with universities, companies and technology centres, allowing to keep updated of the latest developments, ideas and approaches to innovation in different areas: Technology, management, ICT and training

  2. At an international level, membership in international networks of VET- colleges, technology centres and associations as EFVET (European Forum of Vocational Education and Training), TA3 (Transatlantic Alliance) or WFCP (World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics).

3s research laboratory is one of the leading VET research organisations in Austria. We are experienced in the design of projects in the fields of knowledge, learning and work, and in the development of methods, tools and instruments for anticipating and assessing qualifications and competences. The activities of 3s research laboratory focus on the interface between education and the labour market. We are an experienced co-ordinator of LLP projects (e.g. VQTS received the Helsinki Award 2006 and the Lifelong Learning Award 2007 in gold; EQF-Ref; DISCO II) and partner in several European projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates, LLL, EC). 3s is member of the Austrian Reference Network of CEDEFOP and provides expertise to the EC and to Austrian Ministries (e.g. regarding EQF/NQF and related topics like the implementation of ECVET in Austria, the certification of continuing vocational training in companies, quality assurance etc.).

Universo CLIL Associazione Professionale is a teacher training association recognized by Italian Ministry of Education. It is aimed at promoting innovative and cooperative teaching approaches and methodologies. The Association has started its activity in consequence of the result of a former three year Comenius Multilateral project, “e-CLILT” (e-based Content and Language Integrated Learning Training), whose main outcome has been a blended trans-national model training course (on-line and face-to-face) for teacher trainers, in service CLIL teachers and for teachers in their initial training. Besides the Association, considering lifelong learning process the core of its educational scope, has developed expertise in organizing events and training courses related to language acquisition, ICT and crosscurricular key competences through innovative learning techniques. Its teacher training courses are provided at local, regional and national level.
